Description

Today, two new designs join the Presage Sharp Edged collection and pay tribute to the longevity of Kabuki, a form of Japanese theatre. These watches were designed in collaboration with Ebizo Ichikawa, one of Japan's most prominent and influential Kabuki actors. The red-brown khaki colour of the dial is known as Kakiiro. The watches come with a leather strap, the back of which is also coloured with Kakiiro. This is a subtle nod to the Edo period, when it was forbidden to wear bright colours in public and so they were only used on the reverse side of clothes. The SPB331J1 watch is operated by the calibre 6R35, which offers a 70-hour power reserve. The sapphire glass crystal is finished with an anti-reflective coating. This new creation is available in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces worldwide.
